magazine review page production

this is how i started. i basically looked at the basic, layout of the Total Film, magazine review page. I put everything where everything is suposed to be.

This was the second step. i recreated the page by adding the pictures of other films reviewd at the bottom of the page aswell as adding the small reviews and information about the film.

this is the final, step befor adding the actual picture from my own film.

film reviews

Film reviews

Film reviews are a form of film criticism which is a simple analysis of a film, to let people know about a certain film, evaluating the artistic side of things, and how much it would appeal to a public. Film goers often use the to decide what film is good at the moment, or whether a film they anticipated is as good as they thought and basically “even worth paying to see”

As the number of film fans following the advice of reviewer grew, film companies saw profits diminish across a broader number of films. In order to counter this development, film studios increased marketing budgets and avenues of marketing to create more interest in a movie prior to the opening.

Online film review magazines

Online magazines personally are the future, as they be shared in so many ways by the touch of a button, number of social networking sits for example face book, is an example of this. A lot of online magazines these days have a little banner at the banner dedicated to sharing the article, or sharing your views about what you though of the article.

Blogging has also introduced opportunities for a new wave of amateur film critics to have their opinions heard. These review blogs may focus on one genre, director or actor, or encompass a much wider variety of films. Friends, friends of friends, or complete strangers are able to visit these sites, and can often leave their own comments about the movie and/or the author's review.

Some magazines are dedicated to a certain genre or, audience for example; some films are dedicated to only writing about horror film rereleases, such as shock horror magazine.
Others are dedicated to sale budget productions; these are mostly based on the web, as this is easier and quicker as well as very cheap to produce in comparison to creating your own mainstream magazine.

This means that the style of certain magazines can be very different. Some film dedicated to young people for example would you language less than formal or humorous to appeal to their particular audience.
